Yukari Maki: Flare, One Who Captures the Flash Deep in the HeartFlare, One Who Captures the Flash Deep in the Heart

This exhibition presents oil paintings by Yukari Maki. Her work explores the tension beneath the visible surface of faces and human-like figures, drawing out a love-rooted distortion and grotesque quality from which an inner “glimmer” emerges. She sees distortion as a sign of sensitivity, not a flaw, and through people who sense and pursue that light she depicts instability alongside tenderness and love.
